Hershy Alter founded Yad Healthcare in 2019. He has experience in the senior care space and healthcare as a whole. As a LHNA he knows the ins and outs of quality, efficient, and profitable SNF operations, making him highly qualified to turn around relatively underperforming assets. He also has experience in NJ, MD, MI, and VA and has seen significant success within each region.
In his capacity as CEO, Hershy facilitates, hires, and trains new administrators and other key corporate nursing home staff. Working together with his impressive team, he has created clinical systems that have significantly reduced adverse patient outcomes.
Hershy has an exceptional understanding of the healthcare and reimbursement environment in Virginia. He has fostered strong relationships with the VHCA as well as various consultants within the state. He has a keen financial perspective of the market and is able to identify areas where facilities, both urban and rural, can improve.
Prior to forming Yad Healthcare, Hershy served as a nursing home administrator for a large healthcare provider for a number of years. He also served as CEO of a midsize healthcare management group, successfully turning a mediocre-performing company into a consistently strong performer. Hershy was extremely effective in expense management and driving down overall cost, while delivering a superior product.
Festus provides oversight to Yad Healthcare’s nursing leadership in policy and procedure development and implementation, regulatory and compliance, EHR implementation and education. He also oversees the advancement, execution, and maintenance of our various clinical programs. Festus prepares each facility for their annual health inspection surveys and works closely with front line staff in identifying and addressing nursing goals. Furthermore, he oversees all clinical aspects of the facilities, such as wound care, falls, medication management, and resident care planning.
Festus graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 2002, and has since practiced as a Staff Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and most recently as VP of Clinical Services. He joins Yad with a proven track record of achieving excellent survey results and patient outcomes.
Amy manages all the day to day operations of each facility. She facilitates, hires, and trains new administrators and other key nursing home staff. Amy is responsible for census growth, employee relations, business trends, and ensuring that company policies and standards are being met by each facility. Amy manages the administrators in each facility and works alongside them to ensure that the facilities are maintaining productivity and profitability while upholding the highest standard of resident care.
Amy spent the majority of her career in Virginia long term care, working across the continuum as a CNA, charge nurse, and Director of Nursing. She joined Yad with decades of nursing experience.
Michael manages the overall financial position of Yad Healthcare, as well as the finances of the facilities. He coordinates financing on new acquisitions and interfaces with the bankers and loan officers, ensuring that covenant compliance is maintained. In addition, Michael’s other responsibilities include but are not limited to, oversight of cash management, accounting, and accounts receivables and payables departments. Michael has been able to build strong vendor relationships to optimize expense management.
Michael is CPA certified in NY and NJ, and earned his master’s in accounting at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He began his career at PwC’s Assurance Practice where he gained extensive experience in asset management, private equity, team management, and financial reporting. Most recently, Michael led the finance team at a leading national therapy company.
Monica has joined our team as Director of People Operations (POPS). As the Director of POPS (DOP), Monica designs and executes engaging programs that appeal to the staff and help create a positive working environment. Monica is responsible for communication with all team members. She works with the facility to identify necessary changes to create and maintain a positive work environment while driving day-to-day positive behaviors through creative learning and group activities.
Monica’s career began in 2006 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She joined a hospice team in 2009 and worked her way up through the company, becoming a Team Coordinator, Business Office Manager, Back Office Support Manager, and Human Resources Director. More recently, Monica worked in a SNF where her primary job responsibilities included recruitment, retention and building a positive work environment for the employees.
Winifred has been a Registered Nurse for 21 years. She graduated in 2001 with her Associates in Nursing from Tidewater Community College, and in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University of Nursing, where she received Presidential Honors. She is a Certified Case Manager, CMSA member and ACMA member.
Initially, Winifred spent 14 years in a trauma hospital in critical care nursing with direct patient care. She has been a basic cardiac life support instructor for 14 years for hospital employees. She spent four years working with Medicare utilization reviews and discharge planning for acute inpatient hospitalizations, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and long-term acute care hospitals. Winifred also spent four years working as a Virginia Medicaid Care Coordinator and Transitional Care Coordinator for acute and post-acute admissions. In addition, she served as a Clinical Transitions Nurse Liaison for a large healthcare corporation for Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities, Long Term Care facilities, and Assisted Living Facilities.
